Description:

This 7-hour, one day training session will provide a comprehensive overview of developmental disabilities.  Participants will be introduced to the characteristics of developmental disabilities and will be provided with information about specific              developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorder.  General medical/physical health concerns and lifespan perspective will also be discussed. Participants will also learn practical research-based strategies and interventions that can be utilized when responding to crisis situation involving individuals with developmental disabilities. Up to 50 participants.

Intended Audience:

Audience: Anybody who provides service to individuals with DD and ID.  Specifically people who intervene in crisis situations
